Almost Done

For Brianna's birthday I decided I would make her some doll furniture as a gift. Ben and I both thought she would love having furniture. I started on the 21st of the month and have been devoting all of my free time to the furniture. HOURS of work each day and I'm still not even done with the couch. I'm almost done, but for me there's still about 7 hours of work left on it. I feel like everyone else could have the entire living room furnished by now. Maybe if I had started with a book I would have more pieces done and wouldn't feel so overwhelmed right now or maybe if I was talented. At the rate I'm getting things done, Brianna's just going to unwrap a couch, book, and toilet. The toilet is awesome, have to do that. Maybe by her seventh birthday I'll have everything done.

The furniture is Barbie size, not little people size, but Barbie size. Explaining that didn't help me feel better about the puny amount I've done. Oh boy, I can't wait to see what Brianna will unwrap.

Those of you who have asked for copies of the patterns, I remember and am working on it still.

Watering Cans for Everyone

While I was at the store getting me a watering can, Brianna informed me that she needed her own little watering can because she is little. So, we looked and found these fish shaped watering cans. They get so excited to get their own watering can and help water all our plants everyday. Unfortunately, Mikayla beat a tomato plant this morning with her fish. She has never done that before and it took me awhile before I noticed. We maybe replacing that one soon. If only I could remember what type of tomato plant it was. Maybe it will be something else.

We Have a Garden!

After some hard work with a rest break in the middle and then sending Ben out to finish, we got a watermelon plant and zucchini plant planted. If I hadn't sent Ben out, I'd still be out there pulling the stickers one at a time. Ben, using his noggin, raked the stickers together then simply shoveled them into the garbage. Hopefully they grow well on our little hill.

We also have two tomato plants and some flowers! My wonderful moms gave me everything for Mother's Day. I'm so incredibly excited to have a garden. I'm ready for the yummy food now!

I Won Something!!!

Wow, I am not good at taking pictures. The picture doesn't do it justice, but I won an apron. A friend did a give away on her blog and I WON! I was so excited that I won. I love my new apron! First thing I bake in it will probably be Ben's birthday cake. And I got a lot of recipes. The crock pot ones will probably be used a lot this summer. Ya for me!!

Just so everyone knows, if I don't win, a consolation prize is nice. Especially a dessert! ;)

I Should Have Known

Silly me for stressing over trying to find shoes for Mikayla that fit. I should have known better. Brianna was about Mikayla's age now when she started wanting to play and walk in my shoes. Mikayla has tried my shoes after she watched Brianna wear some, but she doesn't care for them. Her all time favorite shoes to wear are Brianna's. Her favorite clothes to wear are Brianna's dirty ones that we just took off of her. Now I'm left wondering why I bothered to buy her her own shoes that fit properly.

The mermaid sandals are a size 5/6 that constantly need to be put back on. The boots are a size 5.

Whatever makes her happy.
