Being the spectacular parents that we are, we started Mikayla on rice cereal last night. We introduce solids early because we thoroughly enjoy watching the faces they make. And neither of our girls have been able to keep formula down. So by four months old we really need to leave them some where to be babysat. Which means meals when they get hungry and not bottles.
The faces Brianna made were the best.
Mikayla was very disappointing to watch.
She seemed to really enjoy the cereal. She smiled almost the entire time and she didn't have much of a tongue thrust. She cried for a couple hours tonight until we gave her some more rice cereal and then she was fine.

WHO IS WHO?
Here we have both of our girls at 3 months. Can
you tell who is who?
Those who have guessed would be correct!
They look so different to us. It really surprised us.

Piggy Back Rides
Ben and I are not perfect parents. We do our fair share of questionable things with regards to parenting. This being one of them... Brianna wanted a piggy back ride, Ben and I were busy and did not want to give her one. Ben convinced her that what she really wanted to do is to give her baby a piggy back ride and he helped her do it. She thought it was great! She ran around the house having fun.

Home at Last!
This morning was a very long morning. I was extremely bored and couldn't find anything to do, but the wait was worth it. My younger brother Scott returned home from serving an LDS mission in Hartford, Connecticut. My girls and I were able to go to the airport and welcome him home. He has never met either of my girls before so it was really exciting.
We loaded up the van and when Scott got in, Brianna started to cry saying she wanted him out. She doesn't like strangers and for us to take one home was very upsetting to her. And it continued the rest of the day.
I am so proud of him and of all he accomplished in the last two years.

what name to use?
Last night Benjamin called me by my name! I know it is strange to be excited over such a little thing, but he has not called me by my name in a very long time. We figured a good 3 years (give or take). He admitted that saying my name felt strange to him. He calls me sweetheart, sweetie, and other such names, including the all to often MOM. I have the other problem, Brianna will occasionally call Ben by his name and not dad.
I was so takin' back by the sound of my name from his mouth that I asked him to say it again. That simple word took my breath away and I liked it. I love my Husband no matter what name he calls me.

We had an amazing day yesterday! We were able to bless Mikayla. We enjoyed spending the day with family and playing at the park. We have no pictures of the joyous event because sadly our camera is broken and we discovered that at the park.

Arcade Opening Soon!
Our close friend Adam has leased a location inside the Valley Fair Mall for his arcade. He has always wanted to own his own arcade and now he is well on his way of achieving that dream. Hopefully his arcade will be up and running within the month. I think it will include the typical games you would find in other arcades and a land room. The land room would allow those into the World of Warcraft game to be able to sit next to each other while they play. We wish him all the luck in the world!

First Prayer
Brianna said her first prayer tonight! She usually rambles stuff off while we're praying and we just talk louder than her (we let her think she said it), but tonight she actually repeated the words that were said. We are so proud of her.
